Promoting the status of French as one of Canada’s official languages

2019 marks the 50th anniversary of the first Official Languages
Act. But the status and legitimacy of one of our two official
languages is being challenged in various regions.

It’s time to send a strong message. Canada is stronger because of
its two official languages and the presence of French-speaking
communities throughout the country. During the election
campaign, ask your candidates to take a stand for our two official
languages.
